Here are a few of the more common poker terms that you will certainly come across in your enjoyable playing time.

| ALL IN: When all your chips are in the pot |
| ANTE: A mandatory bet made before any cards are dealt |
| BET: The act of placing a wager of any sort on your current poker hand |
| BLIND BET: A bet made before the initial deal |
| BLUFF: To bet on a weak hand in hopes of making your opponents fold |
| BUTTON: Disc that denotes the last player to act in a game |

| CHIP: Pretty obvious, something you want a lot of :) |
| COMMUNITY CARDS: The cards which are dealt face up on the table for the given hand |
